VIKTORIJA MASKO
Viktorija Maško (b. 2002) is a photographer from Sigulda whose interest in observation began in childhood, documenting insects and plants in her backyard. What started as simple curiosity gradually evolved into a deeper fascination with details, evidence, and the act of looking closely.
In 2024, seeking to deepen her visual language and expand her understanding of photography, she enrolled in the ISSP two-year program “Developing a Photographic Language.” Shortly after beginning her studies, she made the decision to leave her office job and fully commit to photography as her primary practice.
Alongside her formal education, Viktorija has developed a growing interest in the narrative structures of true crime documentaries. She is currently beginning to explore how elements such as tension, absence, and suggestion can be translated into photographic language. This emerging direction forms the basis of her work for the upcoming group exhibition.
In spring 2026, she will graduate from the ISSP program and present her work as part of the final group exhibition.
